‘Half The World Away’ Celtic Podcast #8 – Up For The Cup
Dundee Utd 0 Celtic 1

Celtic won their 5th SPL game in a row thanks to Gary Hooper's 13th goal of the season on the 13th minute.
Forster; Cha, Majstorovic, Loovens, Matthews; Forrest, Kayal, Wanyama, Samaras; Hooper & Stokes
subs: Zaluska, Brown, Bangura, Ki, McCourt, McGeouch. & F Twardzik
Celtic started the game with loads of energy and 40 seconds in Samaras made a great run down the left wing, he passed it into the 6 yard box but Stokes just couldn't reach it.
Celtic kept on applying the pressure and Dundee Utd couldn't cope. 13 minutes in James Forrest brought the ball down the right wing, he passed it to Hooper who slid the ball into the bottom corner.
A few minutes later Forrest had a chance to get a goal himself after playing a 1-2 with Stokes but Pernis made a good save.
Slowly Dundee Utd started to defend better and the game slowed down. Celtic started to get a bit wasteful with long balls and giving it away easily.
Mackay-Steven was tripped by Cha du ri on the edge of the Celtic box, Craig Thomson waved on and Cha took the ball down the wing but Rankin took a yellow to stop his run.
The game ended with a Celtic corner that was well defended by Dundee Utd.
Lennon made no changes for the second half which started the same way the first half ended. Celtic were wasting quite a lot of chances, Stokes was having a bad game, Samaras was almost non-existent and Hooper was hardly seeing any of the ball.
On the 67th minute Scott Brown returned to the team and he moved into Wanyama's position as Loovens came off and Victor moved next to Dan.
Forrest moved onto the left and Samaras went onto the right but this shape didn't last for long. Matthews took a good long shot that hit a Dundee Utd head, Stokes was caught offside again then Lennon took Stokes off for Ki. Samaras moved up next to Stokes, Ki went next to Kayal and Brown moved onto the right.
The rest of the game dragged on and Celtic's best chance was a shot by Ki from outside the box that the Dundee Utd keeper gathered easily.
