  1. Hi everyone, Can you sign this petition to help out the hoops and lots of other teams from smaller countries? It's shocking that UEFA wants to give half the Champions League spots to only 4 countries. Hail Hail!
  2. Summer signings Nir Biton and Teemu Pukki have been included in Celtic's confirmed squad list for the Champions League group stage. The Israeli midfielder and the Finnish striker joined the Scottish champions in the final week of the transfer window and will be available to face Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax. Welshman Adam Matthews, normally a member of the club's main selection, remains on a secondary list because the 21-year-old has now been with the Scottish champions for two years. The adjustment has no impact on the player's ability to feature in any matches. Other recent additions Virgil Van Dijk, Derk Boerrigter, Steven Mouyokolo and Amido Balde are also included. A large number of youngsters are on the competition's "List B" system, designed to allow clubs to name an unlimited number of players in their squad who are born after January 1, 1992 and have been with the club for two years uninterrupted since their 15th birthday. Defenders Marcus Fraser and Darnell Fisher are on that list alongside Bahrudin Atajic and Dylan McGeouch. Teams must name eight "locally trained players" in their 25-man List A squads, of which a minimum of four must be "club trained". UEFA define a "locally trained player" as someone either brought through the youth ranks at the club registering him for European competition, or a player trained by another team in the same country. A "club trained player" must have spent 36 months, or three seasons, at the club between the ages of 15 and 21. The player does not have to be from the country in which he is trained. An "association trained player" is subject to the same guidelines but is trained by another club or a series of teams in the same association. (To see the full champions league squad click here:
