Celtic v's Hamilton - SPFL Sun 22nd - 1pm:

78 posts in this topic

big decisions here whether to rest guys for Inter.

This is now the most important game of the season. The Dons are showing no signs of dropping points.

I'd not make to many changes. Maybe start JG up front.

I'd go for something like this line up........

GORDON

Fisher            DENAYER             VAN DIJK             IZAGUIRRE

          BROWN            BITTON

   GMS             Commons             Henderson

Guidetti

Kris Commons should be fit for selection after three weeks out for Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.

Fellow midfielder Charlie Mulgrew and right-back Mikael Lustig are still out.

New Hamilton signing Nigel Hasselbaink has received international clearance and fellow forward Dougie Imrie is back from suspension.

Mikey Devlin and Lucas Tagliapietra should be available after injury, but Jesus Garcia Tena begins a two-match ban and Andy Ryan is still out.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths: "I'm sure the boys will be up for the Hamilton game.

"They came here the last time and beat us, so we'll be looking to avenge that result.

"We've been going great in the league and the draw with Inter Milan proves that we've came a long way since that defeat.

"We go into Sunday all guns blazing and hopefully get a result."

Hamilton Academical midfielder Grant Gillespie: "Because we have not won in seven, there are no expectations on us, even though we won there the last time.

"We will go there and enjoy it, we will try to get the ball down and play the way we do and, hopefully, if we can play as well as we did the last time then you never know.

"Every time we have a wee blip, people seem to say the bubble is burst.

"I don't think they can say that because we are still in the top six.

"At the start of the season, all the pundits were saying we would never stay up and we have proved them wrong so far.

"If we can get back on track and pick up three or four wins before the split then we will solidify our place in the top six and can go into the last five games and enjoy them."

what are u smoking? lol.

That will never happen and if it did we might as well give away the 3 points now.

A team that has never played together.....good night!

Ronny will make very little changes I think. 2-3 max.

If any one of those players couldn't walk into the Hamilton side they shouldn't be on our books BUT it was more a bit of a joke about keeping our first choice players for the Inter return.

Realistically though apart from the three young defenders maybe, there would surely be enough there to see off Hamilton?

Denayers not exactly been solid last few games TB

Where as Ambrose has been shocking in every game....I'd have him nowhere near the pitch.

Fisher should of got the nod before him. Its a good game to develop a youth player and now we have to put up with Ambrose.

Bad call Ronny.

If the papers are true we turned down 3 million for him in the last window.......MADNESS.

Give the dud away in the summer, I don't care.

He should not be on the pitch today. Young Fisher should be. Thats how I see it. Does not mean I'm right though...lol.

The end of Stokes at Celtic???

A touch on the dramatic side mate.

he stepped out of line and has been and continues to be disciplined.

He's missed two games Ronny "yes man" Deila is laying down the law, stokes and the rest of the squad must be shown the manager is not to be messed with.

Fair play Ron.

I'm backing Ronny here.

When Ronny was asked yesterday if Stokes would be in the squad today he said  If he’s good enough, he will be.”

Well Ronny has now confirmed he is not good enough by not having him in the squad today.

If he is not good enough then surely he has to be sold in the summer?

Stokes is good enough.

It is all dependant on whether he behaves is the issue.

The word good could have been taken two ways..

1 If he is god enough at Football

2 If he behaves as is required attitude wise.

We'll either way he has not been 'good' since his return from Dublin.

Ronny stated he had been fined and punished and the matter was now closed and he moves on.

Then he was asked the question would Stokes be in this weekends squad.....to which he said he would be if he was good enough.
